Constellation Co-op in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC
A group of explorers meets twice a month on Thursday evenings to constellate our parts. It’s so fun. We call it constellation TV. We are open to new members. We rotate whose constellation we do each time. If you’re interested, please message Karin@somaticexpansion.com to find out more information.
Family Constellations & IFS had a baby
In Internal Family Systems, you come to know the parts of you: the protector, the critic, the one who still feels small. In a Family Constellation, other people step in to represent the members of your system, and the hidden dynamics between them come alive in the room.
We’ve been bringing the two together. Your parts are embodied by others, and you get to witness how they move, what they protect, and what they’ve been waiting for. Seeing your inner world outside of you, alive and in relationship, reaches places that talking about it rarely can.
Where Family Constellations Comes In
Sometimes you hit a wall — a pattern so heavy or irrational that no amount of inner work seems to shift it. “I shouldn’t feel this way, but I can’t shake it.” That’s often the sign that what you’re carrying was never only yours.
Family Constellations widens the lens from your individual psyche to the whole systemic field. When you place a stuck pattern into a constellation, you get to witness it in space — and often the revelation lands: “Oh. This isn’t even mine. I picked it up out of loyalty to my system.” An excluded family member, an unspoken grief, a secret carried for a parent or grandparent. Seeing your shadow as an inheritance rather than a personal failing melts the shame instantly, and integration accelerates. It’s the breathtaking bridge between parts work and shadow work.
This also applies beautiful to health issues, career, purpose, community, relationships, politics. You can constellate anything. I’ve constellated my health issues and even specific organs. Yes, my organs had things to say and it was profound!
